From the outside, the Deus Ex Machina explodes in several places. Alucard says his master and servant must really be tearing those Nazis apart. He asks Walter if he has any last requests, and says the carnage is reaching its crescendo. It's time for Hellsing to take center stage!

Inside the zeppelin, the remaining Nazis fire at Integra. Seras protects Integra, and then slaughters most of the Nazis.

Integra slices another Nazi in half. One Nazi asks what took them so long, and tells Seras to strike him down, as she'll be doing him a kindness. Seras kills him.

Integra says that Nazis all die with a smile, and they smile because death is what they came here to obtain. Seras thinks if they Nazis wanted death so badly, they should have staked themselves, or jumped into a fire, or maybe not become vampires at all!

The Major is watching them via cameras, and speaks to them over an intercom. He tells Seras she makes it sound so simple. Mere death means nothing to them, and they've put themselves into a corner. For all of their successes this night, they are still relics of a bygone age. He says that if his forces were to die, it must be in a battle that would shake the very timbers of Valhalla, and nothing less. That's what has brought them here, the sense of a worthy fight. Seras and Integra see that the Captain has appeared before them.

The Major says a true warrior must find a worthy foe, even if it takes them half a century. He thinks that Hellsing is wonderful, but whether they'll live or die remains to be seen. Seras tells Integra to go and confront the Major, as she thinks everything he says is like poison and she'll go mad if she keeps hearing him.

Integra tells Seras not to die, as that's something she can't forgive. The Captain points towards a sign, showing the way to the headquarters. Integra thanks the good dog and tells him to now play dead, before walking off.

With Integra out of the way, Seras starts to battle the Captain. The two start off be using guns...

...but Seras tries to move in closer. However the Captain throws his coat over her, and then shoots her.

She recovers, and uses the powers of her new arm to attack, cutting his face. But he then repels her by using his werewolf form.

Back outside, Alucard tells Walter that the game he's playing is high stakes, and he's all in. He must know how fearsome his master can be, and Seras is nothing to scoff at either. He says he'll tear Walter apart, and it's going to be messy. He won't give him a fighting chance, as he's just a traitor. He's always held turncoats in the highest contempt, and surely Walter doesn't think he deserves a fair fight after all he's done. But he will make his death quick, as he's famished.

Using his powers, Alucard begins to gather up all of the blood of the fallen throughout London, and sends it to once place: himself. He thinks that this much blood might even be too much for him to consume.

Back in the zeppelin, the Major and Doc are pleased that everything is going according to plan. The Major says Alucard is rebuilding his castle, brick by brick. Alucard may wear the guise of a man, but he never though of him as one, or as a vampire.

He has questioned what it would take to kill him, and at long last their war has dawned. He has brought all that he has to this fight, body and soul. He thinks about their powers. Alucard can change forms, summon familiars, bend men to his will, and the taste of human blood brings him life anew. Meanwhile, he himself takes to the stage with nothing, because he is a human being. To be a vampire, tasting life eternal and waging war throughout the centuries was a perfect existence. But it was a bridge too far, and he can't embrace undeath.

During the war, the Russian army advanced into Germany. The Major is surrounded by Russian soldiers, who beat him up and then shoot him. As they left him for dead, he saw all of the blood of his fellow soldiers around him. The blood seems to head towards him, but he rejects it.

He thinks that vampirism is brilliant, but about how he is who he is. The Doc and Captain appear to help him, but the Major thinks that what's his is his alone.

The Major recovered, and saw Alucard as a worthy opponent. Their decades of preparation were all for this moment, everyone involved were just steps leading to the pyre where Alucard will burn. Alucard now has no choice but to release his final restriction, and set loose his true form. At last he will stand alone. If the river of blood meets his lips, the game is lost.

He says that Alucard has cheated life and death for centuries. He asks how one would go about slaying such a force of nature. He knows that his enemy's greatest strength if also his Achilles' heel. Tyrants have always been especially susceptible to poison.

Elsewhere in the zeppelin, the Captain's werewolf form is overpowering Seras. She gets kicked so hard she goes through several decks.

She crashes into a large treasury room below. The Captain drops down, and walks towards her.

She apologizes to her master, but then hears a voice in her head: Vernedead. He tells her lying down on the job isn't like her. He tells her to get up, or he'll start calling her mon cher, and he knows how much she hates that. She gets up and jumps out of the way just before the Captain tries to attack her. Vernedead tells her she's gotten rusty, but now she's shaken off the dust, together they'll kick this mongrel's ass all the way back to Berlin.

Seras tries a jump kick, which the Captain avoids. Vernedead tells Seras not to get fancy, but to just lay into the Captain, and make it hurt. She uses her powers to surround him and even stab through him, but he once again uses his werewolf powers to avoid taking any damage.

He smashes open a box of treasure, and then stands on the tip of one of Seras' spikes. Seras notices the gold, and picks up a gold tooth. Vernedead explains this is plundered gold and treasures from when the Nazis ransacked Europe half a century a go. The Nazis took everything of value, no matter how small. He thinks the Nazis are a bunch of misfits, who think war is a costume ball.

The Captain kicks something towards Seras. She catches it and sees that it's a silver tooth. Vernedead thinks the Captain is a good doggy, giving her the tools to put him down. Seras thinks the Captain led her here on purpose. Vernedead thinks the Captain must want to die, so they should oblige him.

Seras wishes he wouldn't smoke inside her, but he warns her the Captain is coming. He tells her not to run, and take the hit. The Captain charges across the room and delivers a powerful kick. Seras blocks it, but the force of the attack cuts up her arm, and she gets knocked back. Vernedead says that this time, when the Captain hits her, she must hit him right back.

Seras finds a large bomb, and says it's her turn. She hurls the bomb at the Captain, only for him to kick it back. It explodes around him, as Seras attacks from the air. The two punch each other's fists.

The two clash again, shredding up each other's arms. He tries to kick her, but she bites down into his leg, stopping him from being able to run any more. Vernedead appears out of Seras, holding the silver tooth. He tells the Captain his sins from 50 years ago have come home to bite him.

He plunges to tooth into the Captain's chest, which causes him to fall. He tells him that this is what happens where he messes with mon cher... she takes your heart.

The Captain smiles as blue flames erupt from his body, killing him. Seras notes he looked like a child awakening from a dream just now. These men have been trapped in the same dream since World War II, but tonight she has woken them up. Vernedead tells her to end this charade, and grind these antiques down into dust.

Meanwhile, Integra makes it to where the Major is. She tells him to show himself, and he welcomes her. He's glad to finally meet her in the flesh, at which point she starts firing at him.

But he's protected be a sheet of ultra-strong glass, and when she tries to use her sword on it, it shatters into pieces. The Major tells her he feared she wouldn't make it in time for the main event, which would have been a tragedy. This extravaganza is one night only, and luckily he has the best seat in the house. As he walks off, Integra calls him a coward. He says she's in for such a treat, and tells her to enjoy.

He turns on some monitors, which show Alucard. He says you only see this sort of thing once a century, and the last time it happened was back in 1898. But this time, the tragic hero Alucard will utterly cease to exist when the curtain falls! Outside, Schrödinger takes out a knife, places it to his neck...

...and cuts his own head off. His head and body fall into the river of blood. Meanwhile, Alucard declares this blood is more than he could ever drink. He asks Walter if he cares to dance.

Walter says he'll see this through to the end, he just needs time. He begs the Major to give him more time, but the Major declines, stating it's too late. Alucard tells Walter to take his best shot. Walter dashes forward, and attacks Alucard with his wires.

Alucard's head is split open, but he quickly reforms. The Major says Walter can't win now, no matter what he does. This was a one time deal, and he gave him the keys to the proverbial kingdom: a second chance to defeat Alucard man to man, but he's botched it. 1,000 Nazi vampires of the last battalion, 3,000 zealots fighting in the Vatican's 9th Crusade, the Iscariot organization, the Captain, Anderson and Walter's life... all of them were sacrificed for this moment. A once in a lifetime opportunity to kill Alucard, but still he couldn't best him. He tells Walter that victory is now lost to him.

Alucard grabs Walter, and tells him he has been deluding himself. He thinks Walter couldn't win even if he tried a thousand times. In the end, Anderson wasn't strong enough to beat him, and if he couldn't do it, Walter hadn't a chance in hell. He could face him every day for a thousand years, and he'd get torn apart each time. The Major says this is checkmate, and he's won. He tells Alucard he's been bested, and he should accept his defeat. Alucard says he's never been stronger.

He thinks the Major presumes much in saying he's defeated... his strength is at its peak. He's unstoppable, and can never lose... not ever. He then thinks this isn't right, and sees the sunrise. He can't tells if this is the past, or if this is happening now.

He starts to remember his defeat to Hellsing, and recalls seeing this dawn then. That morning, the sky looked just as it does now. Every time he dies, this is the vision that greets his eyes. He always thinks how lovely that sunlight is. Suddenly, Alucard's form completely changes.

The Major says the poor player on the stage will be heard from no more. Alucard looks at himself, and sees that all of the eyes on his own body are closing and leaving him. Integra asks the Major what he's done. The Major says it's more a question of where. Alucard has absorbed the essence of Schrödinger, but it seems this meal isn't quite agreeing with him. By drinking Schrödinger's blood, Alucard has become the paradoxical cat. He is now shackled by infinite possibility, and as long as he is self aware, he is everywhere, and nowhere. But that conundrum is now multiplied by the millions of lives and consciousness within Alucard. Alucard is no longer capable of recognizing himself, which means he's not alive, dead or even undead.

Alucard's eyes continue to close. Integra yells for him not to close his eyes, and listen to her. She says she's giving him an order, and tells him not to leave her. But he says he fears he must disobey her, and says farewell. He then completely disappears.

All Integra can do is watch, and then scream Alucard's name. Some explosions then rock the room, as the Major says everything he had he gave for this moment. In that moment, he took everything Alucard had. He has waited long for this day, and after all the defeats he has known, victory's taste is strange to him. Integra says she'll end him.

Seras then bursts into the room. The Major wonders which one of them will kill him, or will be put a bullet into their pretty little heads? Outside, Walter laughs, happy that the great Alucard is dead, whilst he still stands.

He then falls to his knees, and says he wanted to best Alucard, that was the point. Before he can say any more, he gets shot, as Heinkel takes aim again. For what he did to Yumie, blowing his head off isn't the Lord's work, it's a pleasure.

Walter thinks a traitor's death is exactly what he deserves, and tells Heinkel to fire when ready. Heinkel says he'll kill him in the name of God, and fires again. Walter gets shot several more times, but does not die.

Heinkel runs out of sniper rifle bullets, but says they've got more. Heinkel pulls out a handgun and starts running towards him, but he says no one dies without the Major's permission. He uses his wires to rip one of Heinkel's arms and legs off.

Heinkel tells him to come back, but he walks towards the Deus Ex Machina. The Major tells Seras it's nice to meet her in person, and she's joined them at the absolute perfect moment. He is at a crossroads: Alucard has been his archenemy for many decades, but now the position of archenemy has fallen vacant. He thinks that title should fall upon their shoulders, and tells them not to be shy. Their nemesis is right in front of them, and they should wreck delicious revenge upon him. Integra tells Seras to shoot him now.

Seras opens fire, but even her cannon can't break the glass. The Major thinks Doc made too strong a shield. Seras then rips out part of the floor, and retrieves a massive 88mm cannon.

She fires a shell which not only shatters the glass, but also strikes the Major.

Integra tells the Major to burn in hell. As the smoke dies down, the Major says he will, but not just yet. Integra thinks this is impossible, the Major should be dead. The Major says he has never been more alive. The smoke clears, revealing the Major is a cyborg. He says that he is as human as he ever was. Integra tells the Major to look at himself -he's a clockwork monstrosity.

The Major says his humanity is not in question. He says it is his will that drives him. The vampires in her employ rely on the life blood of others to keep them going. If it's a monster you want, look no further than Alucard and Seras, monsters who play with immortality. He doesn't want them to mention him in the same breath as Alucard, who he thinks is a fraud. As long as he is propelled forward by his own unadulterated will, he has something Alucard can only steal. Even if he was reduced to nothing more than a brain in a jar, he is still human, just like they are. Within him rests a human soul...

...and a human will, precious beyond all Earth. Alucard has many faces, all of them stolen, all of them lies. He despises Alucard, and every single cell in his body called for his annihilation. So he has destroyed his kingdom, and cast him down into the dust. Is is fitting that it took a man with the trappings of a monster to sleigh a monster with the trappings of a man. He says his enemy was less than human. He planted the seeds of this war half a century ago, and wants them to show him what has blossomed.

Integra removes her jacket, and pulls out another gun. The Major pulls out a gun, and starts firing. As usual, his aim is horrible, missing with every shot he fires. Integra walks right up to him.

The both fire one shot at each other. The Major's shot hits one of Integra's eyes.

Integra's shot hits him in the head. As he falls, he thinks about how he finally hit something. He says this is exactly what he hoped his war to be, but then dies.

Integra tells him he's wrong, nobody will think of this as a war, this was just an exchange of bullets -the death rattle of a sad lunatic half a century past his prime. She lights up a cigar and says she hardly even thinks of him as proper opponent, just someone who needed to be put down. She thinks there was no shred of humanity left in him, and he died as he lived: a cowardly beast. As the room catches fire, she says that Alucard won't be bested by the likes of him.

Elsewhere, Doc has returned to his lab. He's panicking that it's over, but assures himself that technology and science speed ahead. He is missing something, something alludes him. He opens up a chamber which has something marked "The Shi" inside it, and says he must not lose heart. He will gather his hounds, and live to hunt another day. Soon, the world will tremble with what he will wrought.

However Walter asks if he's leaving so soon. He says his best wasn't good enough, the least he could do is leave with some dignity and grace. Doc thinks he's a broken piece of shit, but Walter tells him all of his toys, himself included, have fallen short. Doc's science wasn't good enough, and he's just a farce. They are the evening's entertainment, and he just wanted to do something with his time on the stage worthy of applause.

Walter struggles to get up, and shatters some of his fingers in doing so. He thinks life is so damned cruel, and Alucard dealt with it for centuries -he truly doesn't envy him. Doc calls Walter nothing more than a broken turncoat, and how dare he address him like this. He won't allow him to mock the work he has done, and what he has done with his vampires is just the beginning. He then points to the chamber and says they'll surpass her -Alucard's best will be nothing. Walter tells him as lovely as that sounds, none of it is going to happen. Doc tells him to shut his mouth, and pulls out a remote.

But before he can push any buttons, Walter slices him up. Doc crashes into the chamber and rips the curtain off, revealing a shackled skeleton inside it. This skeleton is the remains of Mina Harker.

Walter says Mina was the only woman that Alucard fed upon, and in turn, fed upon him. It was said she returned to normal after Van Helsing defeated Alucard long ago. But Alucard never quite let go, as his essence was still hidden deep within in her bones. And in the years that followed, the Nazis exhumed her body, and were able to create their vampires from it. They dug up her body live a common grave robber, and then did things to her bones that should never be spoken of.

Walter thinks all they've done is create a two-bit imitation, but now the show is over. If that doesn't qualify as a farce, then he doesn't know what does. He tells Mina the show is over, the curtain is falling, they've taken their bows, and it's high time they make their exit. Using his wires, he causes part of the ceiling to crumble and pulls it down, which smashes into Doc and kills him instantly.

Walter collapses and says it's a damn shame, he'd hoped to give Alucard a proper send off. With his final words he tells his master, Integra, that they had a good run. The lab is then completely engulfed in flames.

Integra somehow senses his passing and cries out his name. She tells Seras that the Angel of Death is no more. As more explosions rock the zeppelin, Integra says she's tired, and it's time for them to return to what's left of their home. Seras picks up Integra, and the two fly out of the exploding zeppelin. As they get clear, the zeppelin is totally destroyed, becoming a smoldering wreck.

Sometime later, a man reads a report about what is now referred to as the "Zeppelin Incident". There were over 60,000 American casualties, and over 3 million British casualties. Rob Walsh tells him he should be at his fencing class. He replies by saying that he has to read these reports, as if anyone tries to copy the zeppelin incident, he doesn't think they'll be able to repel it with sabers. Walsh tells him that when he makes a face like that, he reminds him a lot of his great grandfather, Sir Irons.

At the Hellsing estate, Integra wins a fencing match, knocking her opponent's saber out of his hand. Removing her mask, it's revealed that she's aged, as 30 years have now passed since the zeppelin incident. Chief Makube, Maxwell's successor as director of the Iscariot Organization, applauds her skills.

She tells him to go back to the lobby. He says it's not in his nature to wait for the host, and besides, when nobody offered him any tea, he had to find his own amusement. Integra tells him he can't have the run of the place, and tells him to go back to the lobby. Makube says he meant no disrespect, and leaves. As he and his allies return, one of them says the security is as bad as ever, they could conquer this place right now. Heinkel says he's naive, there's more to this place than he knows.

Makube demonstrates this be punching a wall -which causes a shockwave to go through the entire mansion, and they also hear Vernedead complaining about how much that hurt! Makube explains that this is Seras Victoria's "shadow", which wraps around the whole mansion, and every person inside. Heinkel says that they could die now, but they could also take out half of the Round Table with them. Makube declines, saying perhaps another day. The losses they suffered during the 9th Crusade are still cutting them to the very marrow. For now, they will bide their time. They've waited 500 years -what's another 100 or 200 years? The 10th Crusade will set all of this right.

Back at the fencing, Integra congratulates Sir Gregory Penwood for such a bracing match, it seems he's been practicing. He says he has, but he still has a long way to go. He then asks about his grandfather, as he's heard some conflicting stories about his swordsmanship. Integra gives him the truth: his grandfather tore through the Nazi horde as if they were paper! He slaughtered hundreds of them with his blade and pistol, then strapped satchel charges to himself and blowed the zeppelin clean to hell! Sir Shelby Penwood's heroics have yet to be matched! She says he was England's protector, and she lost her left eye just trying to duel him for fun.

That's the complete truth, and to honor his memory, could she have a new helicopter? Penwood can't believe she wants another one, but she asks him to do it for his grandfather. He weakly agrees to it before running out of the room.

Seras pities him, as whilst he is a nitwit, he does have feelings. Integra says the sooner they all man up, the better. When she dies, Hellsing comes to an end, both the family and the organization. It'll fall upon Penwood and his ilk to carry on the torch as part of a state-run government agency. The years weigh heavily on her today, and she found another wrinkle when she looked in the mirror earlier. When she saw that wrinkle, she couldn't help but think of Walter... he would have told her to keep a stiff upper lip. Seras tells her there's no point moping about. She doesn't want to hear any more of this talk about dying either.

Seras tries to cheer her up by offering to drink her blood, she could even go all Alucard if she wanted. Integra responds by booting her in the face, saying that's not something she should joke about, hasn't she learnt anything?! And that master of hers isn't off the hook, as he skipped out and never came back. And if he does come back, she's going to have words!

Seras calmly responds that he will return alright, she knows that because he drank her blood. She just needs to be patient for a little while longer. Integra isn't happy about that, as she's been saying that for 30 years. Of course, she can wait patiently, as she's a vampire. Seras says that frowning makes more wrinkles, at which points Integra resumes attacking her.

That night, blood appears on Alucard's coffin. A familiar shadow materializes in Integra's room, which heads towards the sleeping Integra.

The intruder is about to bite into her neck, when Integra wakes up and starts shooting. Seras bursts into the room, and turns the lights on.

She and Integra are surprised to see that Alucard has finally returned! He laughs and says that was such a violent welcome, he feels honored.

Integra says he's back a bit later than she'd expected, and asks for an explanation. He explains that killing one's self takes some time, and is his situation, there was a lot of self to kill. 3,425,867 souls were within him, clouding his mind and denying him awareness. He butchered them all until only himself remained. He has returned here, but he is also always nowhere. It's a conundrum, but the truth of it is, he is everywhere. Integra says that whilst he has returned, she has turned old. Alucard asks her to forgive him. She asks if he was going to drink her blood. He explains he hasn't eaten in 30 years, so he's famished. Integra says the young women he knew is gone, she's now ancient.

Alucard reminds her that he's old too. Integra smiles and then bites into her finger, causing it to bleed. As blood trickles down, she tells her dear count that he is home.

He tells his countess that he's back forevermore, and prepares to drink the blood dripping from Integra's finger.
