Synopsis

Maxwell is promoted to Archbishop, and is given a force of several thousand men. He finds out that the Eagle is on the move, and realizes Alucard is heading back to England, but decides it doesn't matter. He and his new forces head to England to reclaim it. Out at sea, Alucard says he can smell the aroma of war, and tells the Major he's coming. In London, Iscariot defeats the group of Nazis after Integra, but lose half their force in doing so. Integra says she's going back to her mansion. Despite Heinkel and Yumie's objections, Anderson agrees to escort her there, and the group start moving out.

The Major tells Zorin to go and attack. A volley of missiles are launched at the Hellsing headquarters, but they are all shot down by Seras, who is using her new Harkonnen II. Zorin's zeppelin takes heavy damage, so she orders hew crew to crash it right onto Seras herself. Seras switches to the Harkonnen II's incendiary grenades, which she fires at the zeppelin. It crashes in a field some distance away from the mansion, but Zorin and over 40 Nazis survive. Zorin orders her men to move in and kill everyone, and they charge towards the Hellsing headquarters. But as they do, the Wild Geese have setup mines and claymores, which start to detonate and kill several Nazis.

Zorin uses her strange powers to create a gigantic illusion of herself, which attacks the mansion. Seras and the Wild Geese believe the giant to be real, as Zorin cuts into the mansion and slices up some of the Wild Geese. Hearing Alucard's voice in her head, Seras realizes this is an illusion, and fires at where the real Zorin is. One of the bullets grazes Zorin's face, which cause the giant version of herself to turn to dust. As the Wild Geese realize none of them have been injured and the mansion hasn't been struck, some Nazis enter. Sera kills them by blowing their heads off.

Vernedead sends Seras off, stating that he and his men will form barricades, whilst she is to go and shoot down the Nazis as they make their way towards the barricade. Vernedead tells Seras not to die, and to come back to him -that's an order. Seras says she will, and runs off down a corridor. As the Wild Geese watch her go, they says she's a hell of a girl. Vernedead agrees, saying she's way too good for the likes of them. If she dies tonight, they are no longer men. They'll just be cowards, meant to go to hell. But Seras isn't going to die under their watch. As the Nazis enter the mansion, they kill several of the Wild Geese. Sera comes across some corpses, and screams that she'll make the Nazis pay.

Manga differences

-The opening flashback scene with Maxwell does not happen until later on in the manga.

-In the manga, when Maxwell finds out that the Eagle is moving, the next part shown is Alucard on the Eagle. After that, it goes back to Maxwell saying he doesn't care about Alucard, and the helicopters taking off. In the episode, the scene with Alucard happens after the helicopters take off.

-In the manga, the Major is not seen ordering Zorin to go and attack, whilst he does so in the episode.

-In the manga, Vernedead talks about the Harkonnen II before Zorin has the zeppelin's search lights turned on. In the episode, these things happen the other way around.

-In the manga, after the zeppelin crashes, there is a flashback scene with Vernedead and his grandfather. This scene is not in this episode, but it will be shown in the next one.

-After the giant Zorin is destroyed, only one Nazi crashes through a window in the manga, whilst in the episode, there are two.

Notes

-According to Hellsing creator Kohta Hirano, the Harkonnen II was a pain for him to draw, so Seras never gets to use it much.

-The credits for this episode feature a scene from the manga, showing Seras and the Wild Geese at the Hellsing shooting range. This scene takes place during the events of this episode.

The credits also feature a scene not based on anything in the manga. Some Nazis have captured a man and argue over how they're going to eat him, which annoys Zorin. She uses her scythe to cut the guy up, giving each of the Nazis bits of him. She then looks at a photo of Seras and the Wild Geese, and stubs out her cigarette over Seras's face.
