The next match sees Dr. Ichigaki's team win easily, with the team mainly decapitating their opponents. Elsewhere, Yusuke finds that he can no longer control his spirit energy, and so can not currently use his spirit gun. Rugby, a member of the Demon Realm Crazed Warrior team, finds Yusuke and wants to see what's stronger: his demon ball, or Yusuke's spirit gun. He doesn't know Yusuke can't use his spirit gun, and attacks him.

However he is eventually killed when Topaz, the leader of the Demon Realm Crazed Warrior team, kills him by throwing an axe into his back. Topaz calls him worthless and tells Yusuke not to let himself get killed by some low level punk, as he wants to face him in the ring. Kuwabara finds Yusuke, and the two head back to the hotel. Yusuke tells Kuwabara that he can't use his spirit gun. The masked fighter appears and speaks for the first time, revealing that she's a woman. She tells Yusuke this happened because he used the rapid volley, which is advanced technique. For someone like him, who has been using spirit energy for less than half a year, it's not a technique he should use. She tells him to stop using his spirit gun for a while. Elsewhere, Keiko has decided not to see Yusuke just yet, as she wants to watch him for now. She and the others drink to the Urameshi team winning it all (although Keiko gets to drink juice).

In the stadium, the Demon Realm Crazed Warrior team face off against the Toguro team. However, only the younger Toguro brother shows up, and says he wants to fight them by himself. They agree and the fight begins, and Toguro slaughters them all within seconds, using only 45% of his power. Topaz is hit so hard he gets split in half, and Koto declares Toguro the winner. Back at the hotel, the Urameshi team are given the schedule for the next fights, are are shocked to see that for them to win the tournament, they will have to win four more battles, whilst the Toguro team only need to win two. Will Yusuke and the others be able to win against their next opponents, the Dr. Ichigaki team?

Manga differences

-The demon M3 kills was given a redesign for the anime, and his head somewhat resembles Yoda's.

-Koto does not try to explain to the minotaur that the fight is over in the manga, instead the minotaur just charges right in straight away.

-Any scenes with Koenma and Jorge in this episode weren't in the manga.

-The scene with Keiko, Botan and Shizuru happens right after Kurama questions if the humans fighting for Ichigaki may not be doing so under their own will in the manga. In the anime, this scene was delayed so it happens after the masked fighter speaks to Yusuke.

-Rugby does not appear in the manga.

-The masked fighter speaks to Yusuke and Kuwabara outside in the manga. In the anime, she speaks to them after they return to their hotel room.

-Only Kurama watches the Toguro fight in the manga. In the anime, Yusuke, Kuwabara, Botan and the masked fighter also watch it.

-The Demon Realm Crazed Warrior team have different designs in the manga (some more so than others).

They also have a lot less dialogue -in particular, manga Topaz says nothing.

-The Toguro fight is also much shorter in the manga. Topaz never gets the chance to attack, he just gets punched in half before he can even do anything.

-Only Yusuke and Kuwabara are seen looking at the match schedule in the manga. In the anime, the masked fighter, Kurama and Botan are also present.

Errors

-When Toguro starts killing the Demon Realm Crazed Warrior team, a load of Dosukoi's blood hits the arena floor. But the blood is all gone during this shot.
