The Japanese version uses the same name as the arcade version: Soul Edge. But due to copyright problems with the word "Edge", the American PlayStation version was re-named "Soul Blade". |

In the Japanese and American versions, Li Long uses nunchaku. The European version changed his weapon to a three-sectioned staff, due to the BBFC guidelines which were in place at the time banning the depiction of certain weapons such as nunchaku. Thanks to Mighty Kombat for this difference. |
